Internet Explorer shuts down from today after 27 years

  • Microsoft today officially shut down its web browser, Internet Explorer, 27 years after it made its debut. Starting today, those who try to open the application will be directed to the company's more recent browser Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer was launched in 1995 as an add-on package for Windows 95.
