Google Translate adds support for 24 new languages including 8 Indian languages
Google Translate is adding support for 24 new languages including eight new Indian languages, the internet giant announced at its annual developer conference Google I/O 2022. Assamese, Bhojpuri, Sanskrit, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Meiteilon (Manipuri), and Mizo are among the added languages. Google said it is also adding indigenous languages of the Americas such as Quechua, Guarani, and Aymara.
Among the new Indian languages being introduced include Assamese, Bhojpuri, Sanskrit, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Meiteilon (Manipuri), and Mizo.
Google said it is also adding indigenous languages of the Americas such as Quechua (Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador), Guarani (Paraguay and Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil) and Aymara (Bolivia, Chile, and Peru) and an English-based dialect Krio (Sierra Leone) for the first time on the service as part of this update.
