  • Resident Evil Village is an upcoming survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It will be the tenth major installment in the Resident Evil series, and the sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Release Date

  • Capcom confirmed that the Resident Evil Village release date is May 7, 2021.

Platforms

  • PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows
  • Capcom’s Resident Evil Village is coming to both last-gen and current-gen consoles, i.e., PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. Other than that, the horror survival game will be released for Windows as well.

Gameplay

  • Resident Evil Village uses a first-person perspective. The inventory management system is similar to that of Resident Evil 4, featuring a briefcase. The game also features a merchant called The Duke, who sells the player weapons and healing items.

Story

  • The story of Resident Evil Village takes place right after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Ethan's world suddenly comes crashing down once again when Chris Redfield, an unexpected yet familiar face makes an appearance, setting off a chain of events that sees a distraught Ethan seeking answers to Chris' shocking actions, and ultimately finding him in a mysterious village. The game also features an antagonist known as Lady Dimitrescu.
