  • Halo Infinite is easily one the most highly-anticipated Xbox Series X games on the horizon, and it promises to reboot the Halo franchise from the ground up. The game was supposed to be a launch title for Microsoft's Xbox Series X console but was sadly delayed. Halo Infinite is now scheduled to arrive during Fall 2021 (September - December), with a firm release date yet to be confirmed.
  • Halo Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The sixth main entry of the Halo series, and the fourteenth Halo game overall, it picks up the story of the Master Chief, following Halo 5: Guardians.

Release Date

  • Xbox Game Studios confirmed that Halo Infinite would release in late 2021. Initially, Xbox wanted to release the game in November 2020. However, in August 2020, the studio delayed its release without providing any particular release date.


  • According to the developers, Halo Infinite isn’t fully an open-world game; however, players can still freely explore previous areas. Of course, moving forward in the story will unlock new areas, but players can choose to go back and explore the massive world.
  • There will be a wide range of futuristic weapons in Halo Infinite. Other than that, players will get their hands on interesting tech that can be helpful in combat.


  • Halo Infinite will release for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Series S


  • There will be a Halo Infinite Multiplayer mode for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. What’s more, is that the Multiplayer mode will be completely free-to-play.


  • According to Microsoft, Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite, the third chapter of the "Reclaimer Saga", with "his greatest adventure yet to save humanity". The storyline of Halo Infinite will be "much more human", with the Master Chief playing a more central role than in Halo 5: Guardians.
  • The two-year gap in the story means players will discover many new things in Halo Infinite. Also, the time-gap between the two Halo games will be perfect for new players as they won’t feel lost in the story. However, 343 Industries also confirmed that Halo 5’s ending and Halo Wars 2 influenced Halo Infinite’s campaign storyline.
